Sewing For a Cause is a Christian sewing ministry started at Crossings in 2022 because of a nudging by Jesus to share one member’s love of giving and sewing. The main focus of the group is to create items needed for Love Missions, a local mission group working with people rescued from human trafficking. The group has also sewn items that they’ve donated to local assisted living facilities.

The group is a time for women of all ages to gather socially, to share stories and to learn to sew and crochet. It is amazing to see the accomplishments of these women when they create an item that will be given to someone who basically has nothing.

The group meets at 9:30 am in Building C every Thursday, taking a break during the summer months. Please bring your machine but one will be available if needed. All material and thread is provided through donations.
